Silverware! Winners go home shining
The branch handed out its first set of purpose-made trophies and medals this weekend, closing a season that has been as much about building structures as winning matches.

Silverware. Our winners went home shining in state-of-the-art medals and trophies, earned through their hard work and dedication across a long season of weekend football.
The new trophies and medals, struck in the branch's own colours and ribboned in the national flag, were presented to the Women's County and Women's Regional champions in front of a full touchline. For teams who have spent the season travelling between community grounds across four sub-counties, it was the first time the branch has been able to put a piece of purpose-made silverware in their hands.
Why the trophies matter
It is easy to read a trophy presentation as the end of a story. In grassroots football it is closer to the opposite. A league that finishes with a proper award ceremony is a league that clubs trust enough to register for again next season, and one that players are willing to commit their Saturdays and Sundays to.
That trust is the branch's real product. Fixtures have to be honoured, results have to be recorded, officials have to be paid, and at the end of it all, the team that finished top has to be recognised in public. Every one of those links has to hold for the next season to be worth entering.

The women's game leads the way
That the first trophies went to the women's champions is not incidental. The Nairobi West Women's League has become one of the branch's strongest competitions, and its County and Regional sides have carried the branch's name furthest in the past two seasons.
Sustaining that means more than a presentation table. It means fixture lists published on time, grounds confirmed before matchday, and match officials assigned to women's fixtures with the same seriousness as any other competition in the branch calendar.
What comes next
More awards are still to come at the end-of-season gala, where individual honours across the branch's divisions and sub-county leagues will be presented alongside the remaining team trophies.

- Individual awards, including golden boot and best goalkeeper
- Fair play and best-run club recognition
Clubs will be notified of the gala date through their league secretaries. Congratulations to every side that made it to the end of the season: the ones who lifted something, and the ones who will be back for it next year.
